✨ Why Things Are Changing
I've loved creating career flash drives for families, but as technology—and my workflow—has evolved, it was time to make some changes. When I first started photographing sports, I was taking around 1,000 images per game. Today, I'm consistently capturing 2,500–3,000 images every game! That means sorting through thousands of photos to narrow them down to 250–350 final images per game, followed by several more hours of editing. Between the increased number of photos, the time spent traveling to and from games, the hours on the sidelines, and the editing that happens afterward, the amount of work that goes into creating a season's worth of memories has grown tremendously.
💲 A Note About Pricing
As much as I wish I didn't have to, rising costs have also forced me to reconsider my pricing. This decision was not made lightly, and I've spent a great deal of time thinking through every option before making this change. The cost of essential equipment has continued to climb. For example, SD cards—one of the most important tools I use every game—have nearly doubled in price since last year. Along with increases in other business expenses, it simply isn't sustainable to continue offering the same pricing. I also feel these updated prices more accurately reflect the work that goes into every season—not just taking pictures at the game, but the travel, the hours spent shooting, the careful culling of thousands of images, and the editing that turns them into memories your family can treasure for years to come. Most importantly, these changes allow me to continue doing what I love while providing the quality you've come to expect from HY Photography.

🏅 Season-by-Season Coverage
Instead of covering an athlete's entire high school career on one flash drive, I'll now focus on one sports season at a time. This makes it much easier for you to enjoy your athlete's photos without searching through years of galleries.
📲 Photos Throughout the Season
You'll also have the option to access your photos throughout the season, so you won't have to wait until the end of the year to relive your favorite moments. This new structure also creates a fairer system for everyone. Some sports naturally have more events that I'm able to attend than others, and this approach helps create more consistency.
❤️ More Flexibility for Families
Moving away from paying for an entire season up front also provides more flexibility. Rather than paying for every possible game before the season even begins, your investment is based on the games that I make it to. Life happens. If I become sick or an unexpected situation prevents me from attending a game, you won't have already paid for coverage you didn't receive. Likewise, while no one ever wants to think about injuries, they are unfortunately part of sports. If your athlete has to miss games during the season, this structure helps ensure you aren't paying in advance for games they aren't able to play in. My goal has always been to make this experience as fair, transparent, and enjoyable as possible for every family.
